I saw it the first time, but quickly shook it off, convinced that I didn't just see what I thought I saw or they didn't just say what I thought they said. Ok, there it is again but I am telling myself that I cannot assume that this person will do the same as the person before. I saw it again, but I reminded myself of how long I had been alone and that this can be worked on. Yup, I saw another one but my heart made me believe that I could change that. Oh, but there is another one, just ignore it because in this moment the good is outweighing the bad and what more can I ask for.
They are called red flags for a reason. According to Wikipedia a red flag is a metaphor for something signaling that there is a problem that needs immediate attention. In most cases a "Red Flag" symbolizes some type of DANGER. In racing it means conditions are to severe to continue, in politics it is a sign of communism, for traffic laws it means STOP, it prevents identity theft in the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), and the Military uses it for a series of training exercises.
So I guess I am the only one who doesn't know what the RED flag actually means. But becuase I want this so bad maybe I can put the actions of disrespect, crazy behavior, inconsistency, laziness and dishonesty that this person is low key portraying into separate color categories by severity so that I don't have to actually acknowledge that this is definitely not going to work.
Maybe it is me, maybe I am overacting or seeing something that is not there because I am on edge, guarded and need to loosen up a little. NO!!! It is not you. Our instincts are rarely wrong however it is up to you what you do with that gut feeling.
Red flags are red to protect us from a bigger danger that is unseen at the moment. Trust your gut because if you confront or dismiss yourself from the issue now, it will save you from a world a great hurt later one. Short time pain, long term gain.
